Question:
The music stored on my computer is nicely arranged in a couple of directories. Now, if I copy the files into the local library everything gets reordered by JakPod. How come?
Answer:
The iPod generally ignores directory structures. It uses ID3 tags stored in MP3 files to arrange the tracks. The local library implemented in JakPod behaves exactly the same. The order of files is the same as it will be on your iPod.
Tip:
There's a lot of tools which you can use to automatically set appropriate ID3 tags, using a directory structure and file names. A well-known and easy to use is Mp3tag.
